a. Image Data

When using the App, users may upload photographs of tiles for processing. These images may contain identifiable patterns, textures, or metadata.

We collect:

The image file uploaded by the user.
Automatically generated metadata (e.g., timestamp, device type, file format).

b. Device Information

We may collect limited device data for diagnostic and improvement purposes, including:

Device type and OS version
App version
Crash logs

c. Usage Data

When interacting with the App, we collect anonymized usage metrics such as:

Number of tile images uploaded
Matching queries initiated
General interaction flow (e.g., feature usage)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:

To process and analyze tile images to detect matches.
To train and improve our image recognition models (with anonymized or opt-in datasets only).
To provide feedback or results based on backend tile comparisons.
To ensure performance, monitor reliability, and fix bugs.

We do not sell or share any image or personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

3. Storage and Security

a. Cloud Storage

All uploaded images are stored securely in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using:

Cloud Storage: Encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 and TLS.
Access Control: Images are accessible only by secure, authenticated backend services.
Geolocation: Data is stored in [you may specify region, e.g., us-central1], unless otherwise required.

b. Data Retention

Uploaded images are stored:

For up to 30 days by default to allow for delayed processing and user access.
Optionally deleted immediately upon request by the user.

After the retention period, data is automatically deleted from our storage buckets.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Cloud Platform (storage, compute, authentication)
(Optional) Google Analytics / Firebase — for usage metrics (anonymous only)

These services are used solely to provide the functionality and performance of the App. They comply with industry standards for privacy and data protection.

5. User Rights

You have the right to:

Request deletion of your uploaded data
Request access to the images or logs tied to your session
Withdraw consent and stop using the App at any time
